as far as the tune - just a throw away little ditty to me. A fun tune with playful wordplay that got thrown into a slot for awhile. I can think of worse. I certainly enjoy it from time to time.

I think your hunch is correct Johnny and I also agree about Don't Ease however there is one version I really like. The acoustic opener to Harpur College is great! Here is another one from May '70 that is pretty good.

I actually posted once about DoughKnees being one of those songs you take for granted but a really fine version shows how kick-ass it CAN be. Here's one, as an encore from a great show:

I think it is an underrated tune.....
Nice upbeat set closer that in the in the 80's seemed to give Brent a chance to show off his chops..IMHO.

but i think that was the prob - it was so often a set closer that as soon as they started into it you knew the set was ending. had it's placement varied more, i think the song would have gotten a bit better response.

There are some really fun versions of Dough Knees

Doesn't Festival Express feature this tune?

Hey Barongsong, How's things? Startin' to get chilly here in the North East - gotta start buyin' heating Oil.

Don't envy you there. Things are warm but rainy here in Bali and I'm nursing a fine hangover from the election festivities last night. Any snow up there yet?
